Startup Narrative Audit

Founding engagements now open

Turn what your startup is learning into a position it can defend.

You may already have strong founder conviction, useful customer conversations and meaningful product learning. But those signals do not automatically add up to a clear market position.

The Startup Narrative Audit connects the evidence emerging across your company, separates what you know from what you assume and identifies the strongest argument worth testing next.

FormatFixed scope and fee
TimelineTwo to three weeks
Best forB2B startups and early scaleups

The problem is usually upstream of the copy

Founders carry the original conviction. Customers reveal how the problem is experienced. Product teams discover what changes behaviour. Sales hears the objections. Marketing is then asked to turn all of it into one confident story.

If that knowledge has not been connected, sharper wording will only disguise the gap.

  • Your founder story works in conversation but is difficult to transfer.
  • Customer evidence and the public narrative do not quite match.
  • Product, sales and marketing explain the same problem differently.
  • Category ambition is moving ahead of the available proof.
  • You need a clear position before investing in more content or a website rewrite.

What you leave with

02

Evidence and assumption mapWhat the company knows, infers, believes and still needs to learn.

03

Core argumentA defensible central argument with supporting claims, evidence and qualifications.

04

Narrative gaps and risksThe missing evidence and credibility risks that matter most.

05

Three priority opportunitiesConnected moves across the website, founder thinking, customer evidence or sales conversations.

06

90-day test planA focused way to activate the position, capture response and decide what to revise.

What I review

Founder interviews and notes
Customer calls, objections and testimonials
Product and roadmap learning
Sales and customer-success insight
Website, messaging and content
Research, market signals and competitor claims

The evidence set is deliberately focused. You do not need a perfect archive, but you do need more than an untested idea.

A complete, focused founding engagement

I am opening a small number of founding engagements to test and refine this offer with B2B startups and early scaleups. You receive the complete audit; in return, I will ask for candid feedback on what was useful and what needs to improve.

I carry out the analysis and synthesis myself. The scope, inputs, deliverables, timeline and fixed fee are agreed before work begins.

The audit stands alone. Any later website, thought-leadership or editorial-system work is scoped separately.

Discuss a founding engagement

Start with the question you cannot yet answer clearly

What does your company understand that its market should care about?

Tell me where the current story feels unclear, unsupported or fragmented. I will help you decide whether the audit is the right next step.
