Why the OS exists
A discipline without practical tools stays theoretical.
Most organisations understand, in principle, that their evidence is underused. Research sits in reports. Customer insight lives in interview notes. Webinar and event conversations disappear into recordings. Market signals are noticed but not connected.
The challenge is not persuading people that the problem exists. It is giving them a repeatable way to address it.
Editorial Intelligence OS is that way. It translates the discipline's principles into tools that teams can learn, apply and return to as evidence accumulates and the organisation grows.
The aim is simple: yesterday's thinking should improve tomorrow's work. AI makes accumulated context increasingly retrievable and reusable; Editorial Intelligence determines what deserves to be preserved, connected, tested and developed.

Editorial Intelligence provides the context and judgement layer: the evidence agents can use, the narrative logic they should follow and the boundaries that keep their work useful. The workflows are model-agnostic by design: the organisational knowledge and editorial judgement remain portable across ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot and future tools.
Templates, signal-capture tools, evidence mapping canvas, courses, certification and software concepts are in development. The OS grows as the discipline matures.
Current state
Editorial Intelligence OS is being built in public. The frameworks are live and in use. The assessment is operational. The applications and AI workflows are under active development.
The OS is not finished. It is not supposed to be finished. Each new cycle of evidence — from client work, from the site itself, from Field Notes and the AI narrative series — strengthens the frameworks and surfaces the next tool to build.
