Editorial Intelligence Research Project · Pilot version 2
How does evidence become an influential idea?
I'm researching how organisations turn research, customer insight, internal expertise and other forms of evidence into ideas that influence decisions.
This questionnaire asks about your experience of that process: what works, where useful knowledge gets lost and how AI may be changing the work.
There are ten questions across five short steps. It should take approximately 7–10 minutes. You do not need to prepare anything. Where possible, please use a real recent example rather than describing the ideal process.
Your response will contribute to the Editorial Intelligence Research Project. You will choose at the end whether your contribution may be used anonymously, whether I may contact you about it and whether you are open to a follow-up conversation. Nothing will be attributed to you or your organisation without separate approval.
I should also be straightforward that Editorial Intelligence is how I make a living, so this research develops a commercial practice as well as a body of knowledge. I notice where the method might be useful to an organisation. I will not approach you about working together unless you raise it first.
This is a pilot. Your answers are kept as you move between steps, and you can go back before submitting. If anything feels unclear or difficult, there is space to say so at the end.
Response received
Thank you for contributing to the Editorial Intelligence Research Project.
Your response will help build a clearer picture of how evidence becomes an influential idea inside organisations — and where useful knowledge is lost along the way.
If you asked to be contacted or indicated that you are open to a Compare Notes conversation, I may follow up using the email address you provided.
Nothing else happens automatically. You have not been added to any email list, and you will not receive anything you did not ask for above.
